With reference to my previous post of Facebook Bejeweled blitz tips and secrets, i found out even more thru my days of addictive playing. And here the truth which i discovered while playing facebook bejeweled blitz.
Multiplier Gem
Multiplier gems multiply your score on anything, including your speed bonus! if you were to get the max speed bonus of 1000, and you have a 3x gem, it will work out to be an additional 3000 points!
If you do not have at least a 3x, do not expect to go beyond 100k! It can be done with a 2x multiplier gem, but certainly not on a 1x multiplier.
With 2x multiplier, you will be able to get estimated at 20~50k, if you fully utilise the speed bonus.
Once you have a multiplier gem, do not hesitate to match it and blast it off, as your score will increase according to the multiplier you matched.
*If you blast off a 2x, your future move will yield you 2x of the base score.
* If swapping for a cascade gives you 200, with a 2x, it will give you 400
How to get a Multipler Gem for bejeweled blitz?
Multiplier gem will drop once you eliminate 12 gems in a single swap. And how?
Typical method : Blast off a power gem (9 gems) , and hope for a cascading match (3 gems).
More effective method : Plan in such a way that, after you match a cascade, the power gem is the next to explode, which gives you a multiplier.
*note, the next multiplier gem will appear 10s later, hence, if you match another 12 gems in a single swap within 10s of the prior multiplier gem, it will not appear.
* Example, a 2x dropped at the 0:55 mark, a 3x will only appeared at 0:45 or later.
Hyper Gem and Power Gem
Make a Power Gem and blast your ways to higher score. Why not a hyper gem? Hyper gems are much harder to make. Very hard, unless your luck is extremely good.
And blasting off a power gem has an estimation of 50% chance to trigger another combo, which gives you the multiplier gem, which multiples your score.
On top of this, a power gem clears off 9 gems, which immediately gives you 9 more new gems for new matches if you almost ran out of tiles.
I am not saying that hyper gems are worthless, but the effort of thinking a way to get one, is not worth losing the speed bonus which i am focusing on.
Thus for me, i go with a power gem anytime over a hyper gem.
For proof, check out the first image. I had 7 power gems and not a single hyper gem and almost every blast of power gem explosion gives me a multiplier gem.
What i do with a hyper gem?
Usually i use a hyper gem to clear a power gem, or a multiplier gem.
Speed Bonus
Forget about plotting your gems falls and comboes, they are useless and takes up your time. Plotting is useless if you spend more than 1s on it in this game.
Snails will be eliminated
Instinct and alertness is an traits which is needed for 80% of this game. which is why this game is called FaceBook Bejeweled Blitz and not Facebook bejeweled SLOW.
The all the important clue to break, the barrier of high scores!
As per image, the speed bonus i got was 7000! which was assisted by my multiplier gem as well.
As you can see from the image above, at the last 3s, my score was 120200 and at the end score, i rack up an additional 7600 points!
I have to stress this point.
DO NOT THINK
Just play and swap, by thinking, you are missing out the valuable speed bonus
To sum up, the ways to get high score for facebook bejeweled blitz,
- Fast instincting swapping is a must
- Power gems will greatly assist you in getting your multiplier gems.
