With the updates to bejeweled blitz in January 2010, every facebook bejeweled blitz fanatic knows that popcap introduce 5 new boosts to enable us to increase our score.

But out of the 5 booster gems in the game, which are the ones that really help in increase our score?

Out of my 5, my personal top favorite boosts are in this order.

Multipler, +5 seconds, Mystery Gem, Detonator and Scrambler

But, the first 3 are not already what i chose to spend m y coins on.

Most of the time, i will be purchasing, Multiplier Gem, Mystery Gem and Detonator (Combo 1)

Alternatively, if i feel that i am lucky enough or alert enough, i get Multiplier Gem, Mystery Gem and +5 seconds. (Combo 2)

Bejeweled blitz tips - Instant Multiplier (2x) at ZERO seconds

This is a 100% working method, only if you use combo 1, which happens to be my favorite. As mentioned in this bejeweled strategy guide, purchase Multiplier, mystery gem and detonator gem (Combo 1)

Before the start of the game, detonate the detonator and you have a great advantage into the game with 2x scores!

Why i choose Mystery Gem over +5 seconds or any other Boosts

Simple! Refer to the image below

Notice the 2x and 3x advantage i have from the start of the game?

With mystery gem, i have a higher chance of getting my 3rd multiplier within the first 3 seconds of the game.

If the mystery gem, turns out to be a star, flame or rainbow gem, i have 80% chance of getting my 3rd multiplier within 1s into the game.

To get a multiplier gem, you need to destroy 12 gems or more in a single swap. A star gem clears more than 12 gems. a flame gem clears at least 9 gems. A hypercube averagely clears 8 gems or more.

That all for my bejeweled blitz strategy which i have been using since boosts were introduced into the game. Hope that the above bejeweled blitz tips help you to scale higher scores!

February Bejeweled Blitz Facebook Cheats Hack Released

Once again, Cybershadow has lived up to his expectation of being a bejeweled blitz cracker and had released a new version of the cheats.

The installation method is pretty similar to the previous method which involves firefox and the addons for the game hack.

How to install this bejeweled blitz facebook cheats in firefox?

Here is the step by step guide to install this working score cheat for the game.

1) As usual, download from cybershadow's site.

Again if you are lazy, install directly from here

2) After installing, restart firefox and enjoy using the hack.

This new version of facebook bejeweled blitz cheats works in a slightly different way when compared to the past few versions.

Instead of allowing game cheats by adding hyper cubes, power gems, star gems into the 1 minute game, this cheats will only allow us to modify our score and boosts.

Once the cheats is enabled in the game, it shows a customized image and music instead of the typical popcap bejeweled game image.

And from here, directly modify your game score and the boosts and... WHOP! restart the game and see yourself at the top and amazing amount of boosts

And to continue playing the game, disable the cheats to allow the game to run normally

There is no way to play this game when this bejeweled blitz cheats is enabled, hence off it if you want to play the game.

If the game hacks does not work for bejeweled blitz, try the following method.

- restart firefox

- reclick on the bejeweled game link

- Clear your browser's Cache

- In some cases, try restarting your PC

- Create a new firefox profile

New Facebook Bejeweled Blitz Version Boosts Gems January Update

Being a bejeweled blitz fan, i am glad that they added more feature to the game in facebook. The interface is still as per the October 2009's game's interface. And they have added some official cheats into the game.

However, there is a catch, you have to earn the cheats yourself. Instead of trying to top the scoring chart, now you collect something a new gem called coins gems.

I have enlarge it for your reference. There are only 2 ways to earn the coins which are listed below

Ways to collect coin gems in Bejeweled Blitz

A coin gem can be treated as a yellow gem. To get 100 points, you have to form a cascade with, of course, the yellow gems. This is the main method. And no, you do not gain bonus coins even if you formed a cascade of 2 coin gems and 1 yellow gem, you will gain only 200 coins.

Additional coins can be gained at the end of every game. Every remaining coin gem will give you 100 coins and every level of multiplier will give you 100 coins as well. Confusing? Here are 2 example.

You have 2 coin gems at the end of the game with a multiplier level of 3x. You gain 2x100 + 3x100 coins.

You have 7 coin gems at the end of the the game and a multiplier level of 2x. You gain 900 coins in this scenario.

New Bejeweled Blitz Boost

As the name states, these booster gems are meant to help with you game, assisting you to gain even more points. There are 5 new booster gems added to the name, which are the mystery boost, the detonator boost, the scrambler boost, plus 5seconds boost and the multiplier boost. And depending on their usefulness, they cost different amount of coins, as shown above.

Once bought, a boost can be used for up to 3 rounds, after which the effect ceases and you have to repurchase and depending on the boost bought, the way the game play enhancement will be different.

Scrambler Boost Gem in Bejeweled Blitz for Facebook

One of the useless boost which i feel that is available. As the name states, it merely scrambles the gems on the board to give you a new view and provide you with new combination to blast the gems away. It can be used twice per game.

Do not buy this unless you have too much coins to spare

+5 Seconds Boost Gem

One of the critical gems to get high score. The 3rd most expensive gem at 5000, but i feel that this is way better than a mysterious unknown gem.

At the end of a game, this is usually where your score racks up extremely fast with the speed bonus and multipliers gathered during the first 40s of the game. If you are an alert player with fast reflexes, this gem is a winning factor for you to rule the scoreboard.

Detonator Booster Gem

It destroys any special gems such as multiplier gem, hyper gem, especially multiplier cubes that are out of reach. A multiplier gem that is destroyed at an earlier stage of the game, gives a big advantage over your score.

However, it should be a pretty rare case, where we are unable to destroy the special gems, hence given a choice, i will not purchase this boost for my game.

Mystery Gem

Do you like surprises? If yes, get this gem, you never know what special gem it is going to give you. If you are lucky, you get a multiplier gem to boost your scores immediately.

If not, a hyper cube will do too. Since destroying a hyper cube is almost 80% guaranteed to drop you a multiplier gem.

As for the rest of the special gems, no thanks, i am not interested. :)

Free Multiplier Boost Gem

The most expensive of all boost at 7.5k coins, which takes me around 10~25 games to accumulate. Though a bit deary, it does pay off itself with the scores i had.

If you are planning to cheat by restarting a lousy game before it ends, well, popcap has already taken prevention to this. If you bought the free multiplier gem boost, and your game has started, the boost is activated. Hence if you restart the game at the 55s remaining mark, say goodbye to your multiplier gem.

However, there are some bugs which i have discovered for these boosters. A boost, if not activated, can be used again.

Take for example the 5s booster gem. As long the game has not reached the last 10s and you restart the game, the booster will automatically activates itself on the next game.

Kudos to Cybershadow for giving us the solution (ahem cheats) for the new version of facebook bejeweled blitz.

As of 27th 2010, popcap has released a new version of bejeweled with coins and boosts. The cheats is still working but there is will no coins nor boosts drops and your cheated score will not be saved as long as the addon cheats is enabled.

Disable the addon if you wish to be able to save your score ranking.

What happened when the bejeweled blitz cheats is installed in firefox?

Hover your mouse over any gem and press the keys below

• 1..7 – turn gem under cursor into a gem of the respective color
• F – turn gem under cursor into a flame gem
• S – turn gem under cursor into a star gem
• R – turn gem under cursor into a rainbow gem
• M – turn gem under cursor into a score multiplier gem
• N – turn gem under cursor into a normal gem
• Backspace – removes gem under cursor
• Delete – removes gem under cursor, but does not remove its sprite (causes glitches)
• B – activates "blazing speed" mode (all matches trigger an explosion)
• F9 – pause the game
• F9 (while paused) – advance one frame
• Shift+F9 – unpause game
• F1 – show FPS and FPS history (debug information)

No worries! Clear the cache for your firefox. See the steps below for instructions

1) Go to TOOLS > Clear recent History

2) This box will pop up asking which history of firefox you wish to clear, tick Cache. And Clear now.

3) The firefox Cache is cleared and the firefox bejeweled blitz cheats will be working perfectly for you.

New Facebook Bejeweled Blitz Version - Hurrah

Goodbye old bejeweled blitz

Well, say good bye to the old bejeweled blitz, a new version has come one which i still have not got used to.

Now they even have a new a new kind of gem called the star gem. Which explodes vertically and horizontally. Pretty cool ar?

Now this is the star gem effect, beautiful explosives? don't you think so?

Other than the star gem, the rest remains typically the same. The power gem has been renamed as the flame jam, else everything is the same.

And all the special gems has a new design now. The hybercube seems uglier now.

Anyways, i have not got used to the new interface. I cant seems to locate the gems. Color has become more confusing and the gems size seems to be getting smaller.. or is my eyesight spoilt?

anyways, there is something called the last hurrah. What this last hurrah does is to explode ALL your special gems after the timer reaches 0.

the special gems include, flame gem, hyper gem, star gem , multipler gem

Great? that great for free 10+k points or even 22k like me =D

One thing i hate about the game is that its seems to be more retarded now. The controls are must slower, as in the clicks and swaps. Seems like i need to select a cube twice before i could swap it.

If you manage to get to the max speed bonus of 1000 points per swap, you will notice that the game will increase in it speed while keeping the timer at the same speed. Means that you can do more swapping within a limited time.

and now, since there is no cheats for bejeweled blitz facebook. It really time to know who are the real players who can score.

Previously there was a cheat for the old version which can get you millions. or unlimited time.

Now without the cheats, the scoreboard will reveal the real players :)

For my scoreboard, i did not see any old "top scorers" maybe they have not play the game yet :)

Update : i saw a millionare on my chart already!

You might be asking yourself this question. "Did i see wrongly? Firefox Facebook Bejeweled Blitz Cheat Hacks?"

Nope you did not. And certainly firefox plays a big part in this cheat. Hence the title of this post is firefox facebook bejeweled blitz cheats hacks.

This cheat remove the challenge of getting power gem, multiplier gem and whatever precious gem by a simple click.

This cheat does the following tasks

• remove 1 minute game restriction
• restore 1 minute game restrict
• allows you to get power, multiplier, hyper gem easily.

With your keyboard,

• Hold Shift + Click to turn any gem into a Power Gem
• Hold Ctrl + Click to turn any gem into a Multiplier Gem
• Hold Alt + Click to turn any gem into a Hyper Gem

Here we go. Follow the 6 steps carefully (Its extremely easy!)

1) If you do not have firefox, download and install. Download Firefox at http://www.firefox.com If you are using firefox, skip to step 2

2) And download a firefox addon called GreaseMonkey at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/748 Click on "Add to Firefox"

3) A popup will appear asking you to install the program. Click on Install. After installation, it will prompt you to restart firefox. Restart and you are almost done here.. 3 more steps!

Facebook Bejeweled Blitz How to Easily Get Mulitplier Gem

Long while since i had posted anything related to facebook bejeweled blitz, how since i have queries asking for multiplier gems, i decided to make a post just for this.

Well, i believed you already knew how to get multiplier gem in facebook bejeweled blitz.

In case you are unsure, allow me the honor of explaining to you.

Eliminate 12 gem in a single swap move.

But how?

I have written some tips in facebook bejeweled blitz truth, but i found out that it was not enough to explain how to get multiplier gem, hence this post is purely dedicate to explain how to easily get multiplier gem in facebook bejeweled blitz.

What is a multiplier gem?

It is a gem which can multiply your score? Marvellous? In fact, it is best and most important gem in this 1 minute game to achieve your high score rankings.

Why is it so important?

Your score is somehow related to the multiplier ratio you have. In fact, you can get up to 6x, which i have not get yet, the best i have so far is the 5x multiplier gem.

How to get it?

A multipler gem will only drop if both the conditions are met

- The previous multiplier gem must not appear within the last 10s

- A single swap of tiles which will eliminates 12 or more tiles.

Easy? not so if you look at the rule "A single swap of tiles which will eliminates 12 or more tiles"

Method 1

To use a single swap to eliminate 12 or more tiles, you need to have at least a combo of 4 continuous cascade swaps, (4 x 3) this is extremely difficult and rare, unless your luck is extremely good.

Method 2

However there is a shorter method, use a power gem to clear 9 gems, and pray for a cascading match of 3 gems, which gives you a clearance of 12 gems in a single swap and hence your multiplier gem.

The above image is photoshopped for easy reference example. I have tried for the past 10 games to get a similar image, but failed, hence the photoshopping. (=

Method 3 (Most effective)

Another more effective method, is to do the reverse of method 2. Instead of doing a power gem clearance, and hope for a cascade match, you match the cascade and ensure the next move will clear a power gem.

Look at the image above, you swap the orange gem on the right with the blue gem at the bottom, what do you get?

The whole row of orange gem will be cleared, the green gem will join and blast off by the power gem which effectively gives you 12 gems clearance in a single move!

Yes, another photoshopped example ~_~

As per above image, you swap the green gem on the extreme right with the orange gem under the yellow power gem and you get another clearance of 12 gems! (3 by cascade match of green gems, and 9 by clearing the yellow power gems)

My Facebook Bejeweled Blitz - Highest Score 200k

My highest ever facebook bejeweled blitz score! A whooping 200k medal!

Do note that not a single hyper gem was used. Power gems was easy to make in this game and they were near to each other, thus triggering a major blast and the score as shown.

Shocked by the 83600 score in 5s block? I was too. But probably was due to the major blast from exploding of, an estimation of, 14 gems.

Will work harder to blast my way to 225k and 250k =D

Facebook Bejeweled blitz Revamp

With regards to my previous post of bejeweled blitz having downtime, its working fine now, back to normal with a new interface!

Great user interface, which i like better than the previous. On top of a prettier interface, it has stats tracking now.

You will be able to track your average scores. Regrettably, score tracking is not available for people who always get 25k and below, minimum 25k for your facebook bejeweled blitz score to be tracked.

As of the image above, the purple / blue / green bar are your scores tracked for this week. On top of tracking, they even have Level 1, Level 2 for your scores, check my 50k and 75k score.

To have even more details, your highest score for the last 4 weeks + current week are tracked too.

However, when i first loaded this game, my firefox's (internet browser) lagged. Which is unusual considering that the previous bejeweled blitz eats pretty less resources. And when i checked the resources used by firefox, it was 1,200,000k, which works out to be 1.2Gb !

By closing and reopening firefox, the game went back to normal speed, probably it was loading the new interface which eats the resources.

Facebook bejeweled blitz down!

Looks like they are getting more people playing this game than they can manage. And the server crashed (or in a nicer word, the server buckle under the weights of millions of falling gems and cheats) (=

I think this maintenance is more towards solving the cheats problem rather than buckling under the weights of millions of falling gems.

If thousands people of people playing bejeweled blitz fairly weighs millions of falling gems. Then the few hundreds of cheaters certainly weighs a few billion falling gems.

Til the issue is fixed, think my addiction gonna wear off, which is a good thing.

I accomplish a lot more when i spending my productive time somewhere.
