Now here the serious post. How do we really increase our score in facebook bejeweled blitz?
Some known ways to increase score in facebook bejeweled blitz.
Off the sound
Playing the game in the 15s of the game are stressful with the alarm and especially when you are doing a speed streak. Playing without the sound will enable you to enjoy and play the last 15s of the game with full concentration.
Play from bottoms up
Combos have a higher chance of being created! As the top gems shift down, new alignment are being created and if luck is on your side, you will score a lot of combos.
Check out the top image. Check out the 4th row.
If you were to swap the circled red gem with the orange gem at the top, you will get only that. That all!
However, if you were to swap the circled yellow gem with the blue gem at the bottom, you will score at least a 2 hit combo. Get what i mean now?
Create combo streaks
What is a combo streak? By swapping 1 gem, multiple explosions are triggered due to the way the gems fall. In usual games, this can be slowly plotted out. However in facebook bejeweled blitz, with only 1 minute, this game is geared more towards instinct rather than brain power.
Swap the tiles fast - Play for speed
This will earn you speed bonus which gives pretty attractive returns.
After the 2nd swap, you will earn an additional 100 points per swap p to 1000 extra points. Do note that the speed bonus will reset if you did not make any swap within 2s. If you are on a 2x or 3x multiplier, you score multiply accordingly.
How to get Multiplier gems, 2x, 3x, etc
Not sure if you noticed, but after a Power Crystal explosion and there is an 80% chance that the falling gems will create another explosion which will drop the multiplier gem. Refer to the top image for the 2x red multiplier gem.
For a Hyper gem explosion, the chances to receive a mulitplier is much lower,unless i manage to achieve a 3rd combo or more.
I think it has something to do with clearing a certain number of gems, though i not sure. Based on a power crystal explosion and combo, it should be a minimum of erasing 12 gems with a single swap.
Power Crystal is the gem that can sparkle. You can get power crystal by erasing 4 gems in a row or 2 rows of 3 gems with a swap.
Hyper gem looks like an energy ball. it will appear by clearing 5 gems in a single swap

You can swap the gems before the game starts
The gems will switch places but will only explode when the game starts, thus you save 1-2s of you time waiting for the crystal to swap

ReplyDeletei love this game, i think the highest score in our house at the mo is my mum, shes got just over 225,000. but when im on the facebook version it didnt save my score, id got my 25k up to like level four, and my fiftyk up to level 2, my new high score was like 115,000 or thereabouts but it didnt save any of it when i came back to it thismorning! plz help! bethX

ReplyDeleteThe saving part depends on the internet connection between your PC and popcap server.
If you play fast enough, you can aim for the speed bonus, which can reach up to 1200/swap.
I have tried to play purely on the speed bonus and mentioned to get around 30k plus without any multipler, if i have multipler, i could have reach the range of 40-50k
Another tip, aim to get 4 of a kind cube. That is much easier to get than hyper cube. you have a higher chance to get a multipler gem.
you can also right click on the game before it starts and select a "low quality"..this will make the game go a bit faster.

Another thing I just learned about the game...when you get the speed bonus and continue to make matches quickly the sounds pitches will get higher and higher evenutually, you get on fire (sizzling noise), and here's the kicker, if you keep making fast matches while on fire you can activate a special bonus mode and the screen changes colors.
ReplyDeleteyap.. the speed bonus is called blazing speed. If you notice, every swap you do, it will be a power gem explosion (clear 9 gems) if you notice
ReplyDeleteI compete with a couple of friends online at Bejeweled Blitz. We go a week and then start over. High score per week wins. I have recently discovered that a player can start over by hitting MENU and then ending the game being played. An option to PLAY then appears. Another wods, you can quit one game and grestart within seconds. So, with this in mind I can tell you that if you want a high score (over 100,000 for example), you'll know to stop the game and start over if you haven't gotten 2x scoring within about fifteen or twenty seconds. Thirty seconds tops. A quick 2x, then 3x, then 4x are a must for getting a high score. The explosions and zappings are nice but you won't go anywhere without multiple scoring. So if you don't get into multiple scoring quickly, save time by ending the game and starting a new one.

This game is all about multipliers. The one who has the most multipliers win most of the time. He will win 100% of the time, if he knew how to make rainbow and power gems easily!

ReplyDeleteMy frustration is with the 'mouse '; often times, I cannot swap the cube into the position I want but instead left the cube spinning in its position ! Sometimes, I need to swipe 2 ~3 times b4 I can move the cube into the threesome position.
When I increase the mouse speed, I found that the pointer gets very jittery and it is extremely difficult to place the mouse cursor onto the cube to move it into position.
Please advise what type of mouse ( optical, laser,gaming & the corresponding price )the high scorer and yourself are using.

I have noticed that very often when I click on a cube the cube NEXT to it will move and just as often it will move NOT in the direction I moved the pointer, really strange and total crap. I have been a serious gamer for many years and have high end gaming mice and pads and play games that are much faster and require much more precision so I'm suspicious.

I am using a cheap optical mouse to play this game and it is brandless.
If you are using optical mouse, make sure the surface is not shiny or glossy. Put a piece of paper below the mouse, this will greatly improve the placing.
If this does not work, time to change a new mouse :)

ReplyDeleteI have in fact bought a new wireless mouse and a wired laser mouse of adjustable speed up to 1600 dpi but like I mentioned earlier I still have this same problem of quickly placing the cursor on the cube I want to move ( increasing the dpi speed only makes the cursor fast moving but greatly affect the quivering cursor from being placed quickly and accurately onto the cube for moving )
I have tried different mouse pads but not paper u mentioned ( just tried paper but seems like no different )
Anyway, I feel that three ( 3 ) minutes is a better time duration for the game instead of the present 1-minute which does not gives one any chance to action b4 it is time up. Anyway, with the weekly erasing of each player's highest score, we are finding ourselves losing interest in this game as we have to start all over again each week; have written to BeJewelled to retain score but don't think they will agree.

Is your mouse surface uneven?
Tip: use somthing like a Wacom Graphire pen/tablet! That way, Bejeweled plays so much nicer and easier. Just like on the iPhone!

ReplyDeleteMy nephew scored 2,228,000 last month and it still boggles my mind how he did it... and 3 days before that he scored 200 T's, 560 T's, 1.2 M. How long has he been playing? 4 days!!! Some people are just geniuses.

there some cheats available which you can source out. I did post some of the cheats on my blog too. with that, u can easily overtake his 2228k score
Here's something that I saw only once - if you can arrange it so that you can get two hypercubes next to each other, and then swap them, then it will wipe all gems on the board. although it does do them one at a time. I've only done it once, but it's great to see it happen

I play using a Wacom its much better than a mouse.
ReplyDeleteOh and most people do not know that if you swap 2 hyber gems it will erase the whole board collecting all multiplyers you have.
Doing this gets you into the 400k-500k points if you can do it twice in a round

I'm having a problem with my hyper cubes. I cannot get it to switch. do you click on it and then the one you want to switch it with, or like all the others, do you just switch it. It seems to select a random cube and not the one I want. Another thing, I DID get two side by side and again... I could not get them to switch. Frustrating. And holy cow... my highest has been in the low $100k. Hats off to you all!
ReplyDeleteTo switch hyper cube, click on it and the cube that is adjacent to it, as per how you will swap a gem and it will clear all the colors of that gem.

ReplyDeleteYou sure these gems are useless? And you prefer to focus on hyper gem? A single swap with a 5x multiplier is probably worth much more than your 1x multiplier with hyper cube clearance

ReplyDeleteI've been playing for a month or so, hundreds of games. My friends get into the 300, 400, 500 thousand range. How do they do it? My very best score is 130,000. I thought after hudreds of games I would make a wonderful discovery, but no. How are they scoring these soaring amounts?

ReplyDeleteBasically it is just speed. With the speed, your will be able to get at least 1.2k on a max speed swap.and this is before any multiplier effect.
Now with boost released, i am able to hit 300k+ from time to time.
There is a cheat for this game which can unnaturally give u millions.
But to get 300k ~ 500k range, it is possible WITHOUT CHEATS.
Just that u need faster reflexes. The faster you swap those gems, the more score and multipliers you will hv
Hi, haven't posted in quite a while, switched to a mac and 'lost' your page. Been playing this pretty constantly, but have to say, I don't like the new version with the Boosts. What does everyone think about them? I'm able to get higher scores with out the distractions of the boost. I think the play is a lot slower since they integrated the boosts. Tonight I got my highest score ever, without the boosts. 509,750. I use a Ipod touch. Lately I couldn't hardly get over 200k, but I got lucky tonight. ONlY problem is my scores aren't getting posted online when I log on with my computer. My ipod shows my score, and facebook will post my star medal, but the game itself on my computer won't show my new score when I check it out.

noticing earlier comment about the hypercubes. I have done the double hypercubes 3 times. Amazing to see each time it clears the board. But, when you check your stats, it doesn't count that second cube as being 'used'. Actually doing so slows you down, because you have to wait for the cubes to settle. Amazing to see, but can't say it is an advantage.
ReplyDeleteDouble hybercubes are extremely helpful in racking up your score. If you are on a high multiplier, it could significantly increase your score. And the visual effect is amazing!
ReplyDeleteas for the game not saving, they should be linked to the same database, hence it should show up on your facebook as well.
Typically, for such problems. Switching on and off the PC is my standard solution :D

ReplyDeleteSave up your coins to about 20,000. You can buy up to 3 bonus gems at a time and I always buy a mystery gem, a free multiplier and a detonator. I usually detonate them right at the start of the game and it really gives you a jumpstart. I've gotten most of my best scores (300,000-400,000 range) this way.

ReplyDeleteWhat is the trick to swaping the multipliers? Sometimes I put them in between 2 gems and it works and other times it doesn't. Sometimes I put them next to 2 of the same gem and that works and others it doesn't. When is the multiplyer gem supposed to explode?
