This film is about a group of secret group known as illuminati, trying to blow up the whole catholic church by stealing a secret scientific item, called anti-matter, which had the power to destroy the whole of Rome, should it detonates.
The story starts with Illuminati, captures 4 of the potential to-be- elected popes, and threatens to kill them hourly starting from 8pm til 11pm. And at 12mn, the whole of Rome will disappear in history with the detonation of the anti-matter.
Tom hanks, together with another scientist, which produces the anti-matter, was recruited by the Swiss Guards, a group protecting the catholics, to solve the mystery.
A film with good storyline with suspense and problem solving along the way. Puzzles along the way are solved pretty quickly and is not a film that drags it's plot. Even though this is an 2hr show, it does not feel anything like 2hr.
Suitable for those that likes suspense films, yet does not have the patience to last throughout the show.
In addition to the story point, this film briefly teaches some history about the catholics.
Personally, i give this a 8.5/10 score based on its engaging storyline and the ending of the story.
