Night Market or Pasar Malam in Singapore

night market in singapore
Night market or pasar malam in Singapore never fails to attract me to go at least once. Although they are selling the same thing over and over again. They never fail to fascinate me.

The typical stalls, selling mattresses, pillows, cabinets, home ornaments, nail cutters, scissors, clothings and food.

When going to night market, the mentality is usually, cheap cheap and cheaper price. But recently, the pricing of some items at the night market kinda shocked me.

I saw a stall selling cabinets, wooden dressers, tables and chairs. Well, that typical, a mini furniture stall. What shocking is that they are selling at ikea prices and at your typical neighbourhood furniture stall prices.

A glass table goes for 200+ and a large wooden dresser costs 600~700+. If i never remember wrongly, on my recent ikea trip, similar size dresser costs 200-300+. Well, probably the one on sales at the night market is full wood. But2x more the price. Hmmm.

Even the ramly burger seem to increase their price to $3
If you are wondering that is, it is a 2 piece of bread with egg wrapping chicken/beef meat, with sweet and sour sauce and chilli.

Seems like prices at night market are getting more expensive.. Not longer the cheap bargains and cheap food anymore.
