Solution to Upgrading Your Trial World Of WarCraft - WOW Account

Well, world of warcraft has been around for the past few years and only recently, had i been persuaded by my friend to join the game.

I was given a free 10 day trial account to begin with and enjoy the experience of playing an online mmo game, and at the same time, hate the levelling.

WOW is a monthly subscription based game and of course, after my 10 day trial, my account was frozen and i had to pay to continue playing. And this is where the trouble started.

As shown above, it shows that my wow game trial has expired and i am required to upgrade in order to continue with the epic adventure.

The option to upgrade are

Direct Online Upgrade

In this option, i am given the option to upgrade immediately using credit card from american express, visa, mastercard and 1 more option which i forget.

Enter Key

This is valid only if you have an existing unused licence key, or you have one free key from your friends

Order a Boxed Copy

This is probably the method which that the longest period. You have to wait for the box to be shipped to you before you are able to use the CD key

Direct Online Upgrade Failure

From the blizzard forum, i understand that many people has problems doing a direct online upgrade as the system is unable to accept the credit card transaction even though all details are correct.

I am struck at this option for the past few days as i do not have time to visit a retail game shop. I even tried to get my friend to use his CC card to purchase, which failed too.

Solution to Solve Upgrading issue for trial wow game account

Well, it is a legal method, just that it require a longer route to getting your licence key. Instead of forcing the system to accept your credit card details in the account management page, try this gentler method.

1) Go to blizzard online store at http://us.blizzard.com/store/?rhtml=y (get the idea now?)

2) Look for the game "World of Warcraft" You do not need an expansion at this point of time.

3) Since you are already prepared to use your credit card to make online purchase, select digital download.

4) Checkout and enter the details needed. after which, a licence key will be given. Use that licence key to activate your trial account and upgrade your world of warcraft.

This will solve the issue of your not able to upgrade your trial account to a full WOW account.
