I guess i am kinda hook on writing movie reviews. If only i could watch them earlier than anyone else~
Before that, what is white out definition?
A polar weather condition caused by a heavy cloud cover over the snow, in which the light coming from above is approximately equal to the light reflected from below, and which is characterized by absence of shadow, invisibility of the horizon, and discernibility of only very dark objects.
Well anyways. Whiteout is an action and suspense movie, with some gore. Half shot heads, amputations, throat cutting, gutsy scenes of cuts (not those simple cuts, but cuts by ice axe!).
Opening scene is in a russian plane which crashes in Antarctica, carrying valuable, russian stuffs which will be revealed in the later part of the story. And after crashing, the story fast forward to modern days.
Kate Beckinsale stars as a military police, in whiteout, working in the icy southern land.
Other than the starting scene where she baths in a hot steamy shower, the rest of the movie will make you feel cold and shiver!
And along the way, a pilot discovers the body and the plot starts and thicken like ice at the south pole along the way. The suspense is not too draggy and the ending finishes the movie pretty nicely with an unexpected twist.
When you are at the ending, which the murderer is exposed and dealt with, instead of melting the suspense which has, thicken to become an ice mountain and experience an adrenaline rush of the entire ice mountain melting and sweeping you away, You experienced only a trinkle of stream.
If you do not understand what the heck i am trying to write in the previous paragraph, which i am confused reading as well, simply it means the ending of the twist was BORING.

Overall, whiteout is a great movie with storyline only with the ending failing it.
PS: The CG images on the Antarctica sky was enchanting. No harm going down there to see the sky once =D
