Bus conductor

Recently if you ever notice, there seems to be a sprout of bus conductors on buses in Singapore.
Seems like every 3-5 bus i took in the afternoon, at least 1 conductor will be onboard to check for non-paying fare passenger or those that underpaid their fare.

For your info if you are not a singaporean, non-paying or underpaying passenger will need to pay S$20 if they are caught by the bus conductor.

Seems like by reducing our fare by S$0.02 and increasing fare rebates to $0.50 , they are deploying more conductors to earn it back. Or was i just that lucky to encounter so many conductors~? who knows? (=

I, myself, had been "caught" by a conductor before. I remember having tapped the card while i had boarded the bus, and the EZlink detector shown, "TRANSFER", however when i was checked, the conductor insisted that i was a non paying customer. What to do under such case of malfunction?

No choice, but to pay. Next day i tried to check my journey log at a Ticketing Machine, no luck, trip i took was not registered~

Just not my night then~ Thus since then, i had a minor phobia of conductors whenever they came to check for non-payers!
